Having a sell out at the OS wins me a couple of bets with wankers in Buffs who don't understand what massive support West Ham United have got.

Well, West Ham and fans of clubs like Charlton, Arsenal, Gilingham, Liverpool and Porchester United.

I predict Soldo will end up going to the OS, loving it and will be spotted with a pre match skinny latte with soy & a bagel in hand.

Look on the bright side, you still won't be paying any part of Andy Carroll's wages.

Re: Olympic Stadium - The 1st Five Years
I can see in 5 years time that it will still be a tarted up old Athletics stadium ... it will still be the shape of a Hotpoint washing machine... we will still get fuck all naming rights... we will still be only using it for 20 odd days a year whilst Monster Trucks, WWE, 20/20 and a 90 year old Madonna (not Maradona)... and we'll probably no better off in the league where we are at the moment...

That's my prediction

Re: Olympic Stadium - The 1st Five Years
Despite the fact I can't stand the athletics stadium, there's absolutely no reason not to hugely optimistic about the next few years.

This time two years ago, when we were spending shit loads of money on average players who were never going to improve, I can't say I held out any hope at all.

Since then, Tony Henry has come in, the average age of the squad has come down, the quality of player we're bringing in has improved dramatically, Slav has come in, the standard of football is far better and so are results. Every reason to think the future is very bright. Unfortunately it won't be in a football stadium, but you can't have everything I suppose.

It's hard not to get excited but there are many, many clubs that have been in the position we will be in and haven't had much success. The foundation for success will be there but there's no guarantee. Just hope the foundation is built on properly and we do finally see some silverware.

Selling season tickets will not be a problem.

The problem will be getting the new season ticket holders to go to every game.

Arsenal have had a similar problem.

Re: Olympic Stadium - The 1st Five Years
With the letter i recieved yesterday saying there is still time to add friends and family to sit with us in the OS i'm inclined to believe they have sold nowhere near as many season tickets as they are letting on.
